As Valentine’s Day approaches everyone is talking about love. At the risk of sounding like a sappy post trying to answer the question, “What is Love?” – I thought I’d explore “Love is all there is.” Here I go beyond that intense feeling of affection and consider Divine Love.
Quantum physics tell us that everything is energy. Love is energy and the driving force in all life. It is life itself and not to be confused with romantic love. As amino acids are the building blocks of protein, Love is the building block of the ONE Universal energy. The concept of Oneness reveals there is one life, one energy, one mind, and that One Divine essence manifests as each of us, revealing that we are all connected to each other and One with God. When I refer to God, I mean the Universe, Spirit, Infinite Intelligence, or whatever you call your highest ideal. Love is nondenominational. It doesn’t belong to any religion. Love is Truth.
Romance is a gift of and from Love. Since we are spiritual beings having a human experience, romance is our birthright from Source to help us fully experience our humanity. It is not for us to ignore or dismiss. We need romantic love or passion so that we can truly understand what it is to walk this planet and experience humanity. This is why we crave passion, seek companionship with the perfect mate and in many cases, procreate. Not because it is the norm, but because it is part of being human and to experience humanity is one of the reasons we are here.
Infinite or Divine Love is the consciousness that shapes matter into manifestation. Divine Love has the ability to heal our mind, our body and soul. Love is the adhesive in the energy of creation and manifestation. It is the substance which holds creation together. Creation in the absence of Love will not last.
It is Divine Love that facilitates compassion for another in need and transforms tears to a smile. It is Infinite Love that can bridge gaps between adversaries, and make possible forgiveness. It is Divine Love that is the driving force of everything. In fact, when we’re confronted with any challenge, we have this power within us that can dissolve fear, conflict and hardship. This power is available to everyone, and it is Divine Love.
In romantic love we give and receive. When we stop giving love, it usually stops coming back to us. When we stop receiving love we stop giving. It is truly conditional.
We are here to experience and know Divine Love also. When we turn inward in mediation and open our heart and express gratitude for all that is good and for being, we experience a quickening or warmth in our chest, or perhaps all over. This infusion of Love shifts our frequency. While romantic love is about give and take, Divine Love is about giving and it is meant to flow. With our thoughts we can send Love to those in need. Or when we meet people and recognize their divinity we send them Love and they are blessed. When I meet someone, I silently affirm, “I know who you are,” which is my way of recognizing their Divinity. In either case, when we send Love both our frequencies are lifted.
Divine love or Infinite Love is unconditional and it naturally flows. We send Love, with no expectation of receiving, but must be willing to accept and receive when it is arrives. When this energy is sent out in the world it is never depleted, and always replenished. When Love is emitted miracles unfold.
This energy, this Divine Love penetrates the veil so we see beyond the illusion and identify as a spiritual being, not a human being. Love takes the blinders off for us to see the one universal energy and that we are Divine in nature. As a person changes from becoming a source of Divine Love rather than the romantic love seeker, their vibration or frequency transforms, the canvass of their life changes, and one lives in the flow of miracles rather than the drama of romance.
What is Love? Love truly is all there is.
I'm Loving you!
love it. thanks.
I too believe love is all there is. That there is either love or nothing... well, sort of. I never knew what true love was until I became emotionally connected to self, and accepted that I AM love. Then it flows outward, a contrast of trying to pull it in for so many years. Now I can just let it flow in and out.
It was interesting the other day, I simply tweeted, "i love people" and got more responses the all the other creative and witty stuff I was sending out.
I love people because I love self, accept self, and I am in other people. I'm the homeless guy on the corner, I was and am him. I mean, I've been in a bottom and met some amazing people and realize we're all just doing the best we can. Like when someone cuts me off in traffic, seriously, like I haven't ever done the same thing?
I was sort of amazed when I saw the title of this post as I had just wrote something similar. And in research for a project I came across "The Grant Study". (Google it) It ascertains that happiness IS love, full stop.
Hi Alex...
I really enjoyed your commentary... and I agree with your conclusions. This is how I view The Universe as well. Thank you for sharing.
