Within the small piece of papyrus was the phrase, “Jesus said to them, ‘My wife ...’ ” As many debate the implications of “my wife,” I think there are other more intriguing theories to ponder, such as could Mary Magdalene not only have been the wife of Jesus but also “the disciple whom Jesus loved?”
